The future is a scary thing but fear of the unknown can lead to so many amazing surprises. We may not end up with the job or the life that we had always wanted; but we can also end up with something so much better than we had ever imagined.

Insta-Outfit

Last week, for the first time in my life, I saw a drive-in movie. My boyfriend and I put outdoor couch cushions in the bed of his truck, packed up some snacks and drove down to our local beach where the movie was being played. Since the weather is always fluctuating between day and nighttime, especially near the water, I wore this oversized cardigan from Free People; perfect for sunsets, a slight breeze and a late-night outdoor movie.

Orange You Glad

Normally I lean towards dark colored clothing but this summer I made a resolution to wear black as little as possible. I wore this outfit to work the other day and love this top's strappy back paired with the  bra's cutout back. Plus this orange is a perfect compliment to a tan. Accentuating and exposing your back, to me, is very understated sexy and something I look for in an outfit. You don't always need to wear low cut shirts; sometimes you just need to bring sexy back… literally. 

Orange you glad I didn't wear black? I am!

I'm a Porto Gal

Now that I'm back from studying abroad I feel it necessary to share some, if not most, of the amazing experiences during my travels. I was lucky enough to go to Porto, Portugal for a weekend; which is now one of my favorite places I've ever been to. From the hostel to the sights and not to mention the food and sangria; Portugal stole our hearts. There may be some time before I'm able to travel again but I definitely plan on going back some time in the future.

Tuesday (Black and) Blues

It's kind of bitter sweet to think that this is my final week in Spain. I've had the most amazing time and made the best of friends but I'm ready to sleep in my own bed and soak up some Long Island sun. I will definitely miss Spain but I know that there will be many more experiences and journeys like this one to come in the future. For now I'm going to enjoy the rest of my time here and try not to cry when we say goodbye.

Typically my Memorial Day routine consists of eating nectarines and ice cream at the beach while soaking up the sun, hoping to achieve the first tan lines of summer. This year however I spent it a bit differently; still eating a nectarine, but rowing around in a little boat inside the 'central park' of Madrid, Retiro Park.
