Transition

Vest: Forever 21, Sweater: Free People, Shoes: Vans, Jeans: BDG

There are a million excuses I could think of as to why I have neglected my blog; none of which I'm going to name. I'm here now and ready to get back to sharing my style with all of you.

For awhile I had been searching for a fur vest, that was both affordable (super important) and not tacky. I didn't love this vest at first, but when its sold out online and there is only one left in your size in store, you make an executive decision and purchase it. Since the weather lately has not been consistently cold, like today for example, it is the perfect time for skipping a coat and opting for a sweater/fur vest layered ensemble.

Mantra Monday

As my college experience draws to end I am excited but also overwhelmed with the notion of entering the 'real world'. My mind is full of questions like, "Will I have a job?",  "Will I live at home?" and most importantly, "What am I going to do with my life?". While I am indeed overwhelmed, I have been trying to remind myself all about time… There is plenty of it! I have my entire life to find my purpose. There is no reason to feel that I need to graduate and be successful and happy right off the bat.
Nothing will ruin your 20's more than thinking you should have your life together already.
So don't let it. I know I won't.

The Last of Summer

The time has come to wave goodbye to days at the beach, 90 degree weather and central AC. The past few days have just gone to show that Fall is quickly approaching us. And while I'm super excited for comfy socks, oversized sweaters and all things leather; I am sad to see the summer (and my tan) go. The new season brings along many changes, both in nature and within ourselves, and with that we begin the next chapter of our year…
make it a good one!

Mantra Monday

I can think back to some of the best days I've ever had; from the big ones like graduating high school to days spent lounging around watching movies with my boyfriend. Here's to all the great days that have past and to all the great days to come.

Off the Beaten Path

As summer comes to an end, I've been preparing for my senior year of college. It's weird, but also exciting, to think that Monday will be my last first day of school ever. Though taking the train back and forth can get pretty old pretty fast, I love that I can come home from school whenever I want. These next two days will be spent at the beach trying not to stress over all the homework I'll have this time next week.
See you in the City!

Sunny-Side

Every summer since I was 8, my family has rented a tiny beach house out East in Jamesport. We walk to the beach every day, get ice cream every night and have an overall great time together. One of my favorite aspects of "out east" Long Island, are the acres and acres of sunflower fields. They're so vibrant yet bring a sense of relaxation as you pass by. Plus the yellow petals really compliment these blue printed pants that I paired with my favorite fedora.
