Apple Bottom Jeans

This past weekend I ventured home and out to the beautiful south fork of Long Island to go apple picking with a few of my best friends. I'd been to Seven Ponds Orchard before and decided to make a tradition of it and continue back for the second year. I love being home in general but to see all the leaves changing and to ditch the subway and drive my car, sealed the deal. Oh, and the perfect weather wasn't too shabby either. The previous days' chill had subdued and I found myself quite comfortable in a modern day Canadian tuxedo; denim top to bottom. These boyfriend jeans (which I received in a trade with my friend) are my latest go to piece and have to force myself to not wear them everyday. Funny though, that my boyfriends hates them... maybe thats the true meaning behind "boyfriend jeans".

Mantra Monday

We all have dreams, goals and ambitions for ourselves; ideas of what we'd like to do in life or how our future will turn out. Yet for some reason many of these aspirations seem unlikely or impossible. The other day I was laying in bed and really felt like doing absolutely nothing. I was lazy and tired, but mostly just lazy. Although my bed was so comfortable I decided I was going to get up and go run a mile; so at least part of my day would have been semi productive. I laced up my shoes, went down to the gym, hopped on a treadmill and just started running. Upbeat music played from my phone and I just stared straight ahead waiting for that one simple mile to be over. 40 minutes and 4.5 miles later I ended my run. I hadn't planned on going for that long or that far nor did I think I was capable of doing so. I had been holding myself back. There was no one telling me I couldn't do it, no physical reason or restraint. We all tell ourselves we are incapable of doing things and in truth those are the thoughts that make us incapable. Your mind controls everything. If you tell yourself you can't do something then most likely you won't do it but if you have some faith in yourself the possibilities are endless of what you can achieve. Your goals, your dreams, your aspirations are all possible; so step aside, get out of your own way and be amazed of what you can do when you allow yourself to.

Deep Thinking

Hey guys! I've been super busy with school lately but wanted to share this video with you. One of my professors played it for our class and it had a big impact on me. I'm not quite sure what I want to do with my life just yet and I may have time to figure it all out; but this really got me thinking. If you love what you do, you never have to work a day in your life and that is what we all should be aiming for.
What would you do with your life if money was no object?
What would truly make you happy and give your life fulfillment?

Shake it Up

One of the many perks of living in New York City, is the close proximity of being a few short minutes away from a Shake Shack. So when the weekend comes to an end, you throw on your "Sunday best", or in my case a pair of jeans and converse and wander over to Madison Square Park. What happens next is the best part... eating, what may be, the best burger/fries/milkshake ever imaginable. And while dressing cute may not go hand in hand with delicious food; when you look good, you feel good and when you eat happy, you live happy.

Go out and enjoy!
